About Irene Land Corporation

Over the past seven years Irene Land Corporation together with the Odyssey Group has successfully acquired zoning rights for portions of land holdings in Irene.

Irene is conveniently located on the R21 freeway, thereby providing easy access to OR Tambo International Airport, the Centurion Gautrain station, Pretoria and Johannesburg.

Irene Land Corporation and Odyssey Projects have completed Phase 1 and 2 of the Route 21 Corporate and Industrial Park and Irene Farm Villages, an upmarket residential development comprising approximately 700 residential stands.

The highly successful retail development called Irene Village Mall, comprising 30 000 m², was completed and opened in September 2007. The second phase of the mall is currently in the planning phase and will increase its retail space to 54 000 m².

Irene Land Corporation intends to develop the remaining ±135 hectares of land over the
next five to ten years. The land is earmarked for the construction of between 500 000 and
800 000 m² of bulk by way of mixed use developments with an estimated value of between R2.5 to R5 billion.

In December 2007 Nedbank Corporate Property Finance acquired a 49% equity stake in Odyssey Developments (Pty) Ltd. Odyssey Developments holds 66.5% and Retail Africa 33.5% in Irene Land Corporation.
